We spent our Mother’s Day fighting for family unity. Pictured are street puppets of a mother and child separated by the border. Typically, dozens of families would visit Friendship Park to celebrate Mother’s Day by seeing each other across the wall, touching pinkies through the metal mesh. But this year Friendship Park is a construction site for 30-foot walls that are quickly going up and are set to soon go through the park. We’re calling on Newsom and Biden to stop the construction and uphold family unity. We want a park, not a prison.
As the border becomes more militarized, we must become more mobilized!
